Gryphus Semi-Custom Design Contest - CLOSED

Okay! Time to choose a winner (even though I'm late I promise I did not forget!) I have decided to go with the design submitted by... drumroll please....


Heyo to all of my new friends! I acquired a semi-custom with a +1 uncommon modifier and seeing as I am focused on finishing my commission work right now with little time for designing, I wanted to put it to a contest to all the lovely designers in this community I've come to love at Ethers-of-Pandora since I joined a couple weeks ago. Below are the details and guidelines, as well as my personal preferences for design aesthetics! I am offering a cash prize of $60 to the winning design, via Paypal!

Guidelines/Timeline:

- This contest begins tonight and ends on Wednesday, January 17th at 6pm PST
- Judging will take place on the 18th, and I will pick and announce a winner around 10am PST
- Please keep things within the traits I have listed for this kiddo's phenotype
- Be creative and go with your gut! I do have preferences, but if you think something looks good then I likely will too!
- Each user is welcome to submit up to 3 designs maximum if they so desire!
- Please reply to the appropriate featured comment with your design! I have linked it below for easy access
- I would love access to the PSD/SAI file if your design is chosen so that I can make any basic highlighting/shading tweaks if I desire. You will of course still get full credit for the design!

Design Outline & My Preferences:

- Silver OR Gold Owl, Bronze Canine (female): Canine Female; Bronze, Silver, Gold
- Common Markings: Dawn (Dwn), Median (Med), Beard (Be), Plume (Plu)
- Uncommon Markings: Stained (Stn), & Ink (Ink) OR Piebald (Pie)

- I would love the Beard and Plume to match in color or color type (keeping cold colors together, etc)
- Minimal to mid-range splotchy or patchy Ink/Piebald is preferred, all I ask is that areas you color from the Bright Palette are left mostly uncovered to be seen in all their glory
- The more colors you're able to use from the bright palette, the better: EoP - Bright Palette
- If using silver, keep the bronze dark and less saturated
- If using gold, keep the gold and bronze very saturated
- Hoping for some secular heterochromia in the eyes, or any kind of heterochromia you're comfy with
- Minimal white/black is highly encouraged (especially around feathered areas) - Minimal White/Black
- Stained can saturate any of the traits you see fit! It is up to you!
- If you have Stained affect the Median, please make sure it is a different color than the Plume
- Gradients are your friend. I have a history of choosing gradients over flat color
- Generally speaking I like dark blues/blacks/grays for talon and beak colors!
